welcome to the forum. There are alot of things to look at with the rover. The biggest is the records for the vehicle. Maintianence and repair. If they are not there, it is better to stay away. find one that has had all the work done. A poorly maintained rover is a nightmare. Have the vehicle inspected for any problems, that are not apparent yet, or ones that will soon become apparent. If you work on yours then get the shop manual for your vehicle. It will save alot. If you do not. Remember that parts and repairs for rovers are expensive. That said, I have a 96 disco with 130k on it and keep it right. I have spent about 5k on it in repairs and maintainence. that includes tires and brakes. I do most of the work my selft and save alot by doing it. If properly cared for the rover can last and last and last. Mine has been the most trouble free vehicle I have owned and all mine are kept right. check in the faq. section and see what some of the problems and what others have offered for advise on the purchasing of a vehicle. hope it helps. gotta love a rover. duboff

My rover was the first car I went out and bought on my on. Boy did I screw up! I got very few records on mine ( a few oil changes) and have been working on it ever since. I was prepared for this somewhat, I had heard these trucks are expensive to care for, yeah they are. but I cant bring my self to sell it! I love my Rover, like duboff said look for service records...

You should do okay getting the records if it really WAS worked on in those locations. Land Rover service departments are usually pretty meticulous. . .
