Hi I am new in this forum, I own a 2002 Discovery II, I had problems with overheating, I will need to buy the head gasket set. What brand do you recommend ? I have been looking on the net, and found one set for $ 156.64, but do not knw if the brand is reliable. Please I need recommendations about this, I am the process to fix this problem with my 2002 DiscoII. Thanks in advance.

Check on DAP as well as Rover Connection and Atlantic british, see what they have to offer. I would suggest you stay with the factory kit to be safe, don't forget to replace the head bolts also.
Where is your leaking? Don't forget to do a good engine flush before you start on the repair, makes it a little cleaner to work on.
Make sure you have someone inspect the heads and block surface for cracks.

Thanks for reply. I noticed the leak, when after the gauge showed the overheating I revised the coolant level and founded low so I poured more coolant, after that we drove it and the gauge showed overheating so I stopped driving it.. I got affraid and check the oil stick, found the stick showing high oil level. Yesterday a friend( mechanic) of mine stop by my house ,we remove the motor oil and revised it, we found coolant in it.So I am assuming that one of the head gasket got broken. I started looking for the gasket set and decided to ask on this forum about those. I also will like to ask you where can I find the repair manual because I do not know a mechanic for Land Rover here, my friend and I will be doing the job.

You might want to go on E-Bay and buy a RAVE CD that has the owners manual and all the info you need.
Make sure that you flush the engine before tearing it down to get all the coolant out of it.
