I just bought this 96 Range Rover and put a new battery in it. The radio seems to power up and displays dashes on the LCD, but I guess I need a code to make it functional again, right? What's involved with that? I live three hours from the nearest Land Rover dealer. Do I really need to take it in? Can something be done with my VIN and proof of ownership online or on the phone?
Thanks

Call John at Roverville Radio Repair (
www.roverville.us) - they're real good, can't remember what he did, but he's repaired and replaced a few radio's in P38s over the years for me and restored the code on at least one of them...

i bought a used 98 range rover, and the code to reset the radio was in the owners manual written in the front of the book, all you need to do is put the code in, and it should work again, hope i helped
