Hi There, brand new to this forum... so this is my first go:
I bought a second hand RR 3L TDV6 2001. A good two months ago the auto gearbox went completely dead, don't know what was wrong with it, and wouldn't understand anyway cause not really automechanic-techy.
Had it fixed by landrover and now they are asking an outrageous $7200 (6000Euro) for the repair after a months repair works. They told me they needed the time to find the error and finnaly decided to change the complete gearbox... with a second-hand revised one! I don't feel tempted to pay this, so I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and how much they paid for fitting a revised auto gearbox?
