Hi all a question re: the aux jack/ mp3 player. It seems when I have the aux selected and playing the mp3 I can only control song changes from the mp3 player itself. The steering wheel controls and dash ones do not change songs but do control volume....
kind regards

If you want to use the steering wheel controls you will need to purchase an iPod Audio Accessory Kit ~ $400.00
Description
This smart, practical accessory provides complete integration of your iPod to your Land Rover vehicle. Using this kit to connect your iPod to your LR3 allows the use of your steering wheel controls and audio system controls to operate the your iPod. This kit also comes with additional input ports to allow you to play music from MP3 players, USB jump drives, or other audio players. Steering wheel controls are not necessary to utilize this kit, but if your vehicle is not equipped with steering wheel controls and you want this added convenience for your iPod or USB device, just add the optional switch package to your order. Compatible with iPod Nano (gen 1(gen 2 cradle adaptor due March 2007)), Video iPod 30 Gig, 60 Gig, & 80 Gig. Land Rover Part # LR004805

the aux input is an audio only input. it works like your headphones but instead of having something on your ears, you have the car stereo.

I wonder how hard this thing is to install. Has anyone tried it?
Thanks!
