Battery low, alarm going off?

Hey guys. I looked under the hood and found my battery connection points very oxidized. The LR is not turning over and the alarm go's off when I turn the key. I'm getting ready to clean off the cables will this solve the alarm issue or is there something I need to reset? Thanks

sounds like it to me. You may have to set and release your alarm 3 times before you can start it.
