I just purchased a new brake light switch for my '98 discovery, but I cant find where the other one is so I can replace it. I've talked to many people, all who say it is down by my brake pedal. I've even removed the cover under my steering wheel, but I see nothing that looks like my part. Could I have specific details regarding the whereabouts of this little nuisance? Thanks.

It is attached to a brakets that allows the switch to touch the brake pedal arm, it is way to easy to find, or you have the wrong replacement part.

Thanks, could you elaborate on how to take out the old part? It looks as if the two sides of the 4 wire clip need to be squeezed in order to pull it out, but so far its stuck fast.
Also, the part below it, is that the vacuum tube? I hear i need to remove that as well, but it is equally lodged in there. Thanks.

Just had to be rough with it, brake lights are a sight for sore eyes.
