This is for the mates overseas. I am going to order a "fake" new British License plate for my disovery. I was wondering, how are your plates numbered? I am going to spell out Land Rover, but I at least want it too look like a British plate. Are your plates 4 letters/numbers a space and then 3 letters? If so, it would look like LAND RVR or I could do LND ROVER. Not a big issue, but I was just wondering. Thanks.

Cheers.

Sorry, yes, just not been around much, as my wife just gave birth to twins..

Right, British Numberplates...

When first introduced, consisted of three letters and three numbers, RNL736

This was changed to RNL345Y Issued in August each year

Then changed to F345RNL Issued in August each year

and currently we have two plates issued, one in March and one in September and are SN55SHD or SN05SND

worth visiting http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/regmarks/reg_marks_current_system.htm as this will give full details of the type face used etc...

Hope it is of help

I should also add, the rear number plate on the Disco would be square, rather than the standard rectangle...
