Buick 350 V8 Swap??

Does anybody know if a 60's or 70's Buick small block will mate to a Land Rover Disco I/II tranny?  Has anyone see this done? Considering the L/R 4.0 was at one time a Buick motor. I've never read anywhere that they changed the bell housing pattern ...and from what I can figure out, the next generation of Buick small blocks were a direct derivitive of the 215 (only iron). That would lead me to believe one could drop a Buick 350 right in.
 
Maybe what I should be asking is if a Buick or Olds 215 would mate directly to a Disco?
 
Forget about all the electronics, engine management and driveline strength - I'm not considering doing this, my engine runs fine. I was just wondering if it would work ...or if anybody has seen it done? What do ya think?

Ok, I may have found my answer out. I read a few posts where guys have installed the Rover motor directly into their Buicks. Here's an interesting link:

A Land Rover 4.0L V8 long block is 340lbs,, if you could
put another V8 in you would have to find springs that could handle the extra weight and the heavy duty springs that are out now could not do it.
 
Let alone new heavier anti-sway bars.
 
Its a mad circle for power.
 
If someone made a kit to put a new small V8 in to the Disco's they would make a mint.
With the price of Rover motors $6000 to $8000 we will see
over the next few years a lot of Disco's sold with blown motors, trany's ect cheap.
