Can a DISCO series II bumper fit on a series I front end ???

I hadn't put a brush guard on my 1996 DISCO SE and ruined my hood, radiator support panel, hood and side mount for my LH fender.. I read somewhere that that series II front lamps could be used on the series I.. so I'm wondering if while I'm at it can I modify my Series I and mount on a series II front end bumper (bumper ) ??? I'd really appericate it if someone could answer my question.. Thanks!

The D2 bumper is too wide, even if you could modify the mounts the bumper would expend past the fenders.

are d2's designed wider period.. or is it just the bumper ?

If I remember right, the frames are wider, the D2's overall width with the mirrors folded in is 77"s, I don't have the specs on a D1.

Well i've heard the front lamps from a d2 are fully interchangeble with the d1.. so it made me wonder if the d2's rims & wheels would fit on a d1 ??
