I bought my first Disco I 4.0 SE a little less than a year ago. It's a 97 with 96K miles on it. I think it is overdue for a tune up and just yesterday the engine started a very suttle skip in the idle. With that being said I am planning on having a local shop perform the work however, I am not sure what needs to be done in a 90k mile service. Knowing this could someone possible provide a basic 1-10 list of things to expect?? I would greatly appreciate any solid advice. This will hopefully keep me from getting burned or ripped off.

I assume plug, wires, distributor cap, and maybe flushing all the fluids should be a good start but what else may possibly be worn out and/or in need of replacement?

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!

tune-up - Land Rovers Only - Land Rover Forum
This link should take you to a thread from another forum which includes a dealer checklist for tune-ups.  It seems that with a lot of dealers the problem is that what needs fixed and what gets fixed can be two different things.   If the sputtering at idle persists, a good carbon cleansing may be your best (and cheapest) first mode of attack.  Search "seamfoam" or "carb cleaner".   I'm certainly no expert, but let me know if you've got questions.
