Does the driver's door panel need to be pried off, bumped up from the bottom off of clips, or merely set on fire to be removed? The screws I have encountered seem to be only holding the door pocket on panel. I am clueless on this and driving around with the window all the way down is not a good thing. Has anyone here successfully removed and replaced the panel without damaging it? If so, could you help an old salt before his next stroke?

Okay, I found most of my wits, and my RAVE CD, and have only one important question. The direction to release 10 clips securing trim casing (door panel) to door is what has me concerned. Are these clips the "push-on" variety? Are the existing clips destroyed when I remove the panel?
When I read from the refit section, the direction given is "secure trim casing to door with clips" indicating new clips maybe?
Anybody dealt with this?

I am pulling this from my head, so the quantities may not be entirely accurate.
There should be 3 screws in the door pocket and 2 in the door grab handle which need to be removed. Also the screw holding the plastic cup behind the door release handle.
After the screws are out, there are clips along the front and back edges. Pry the panel straight away from the door to pop these loose. Some of these clips will survive, and some will most likely break, so be prepared to get a few new ones from your parts place.
Once all the clips are loose, the panel is still hooked over the top edge of the door, and must be lifted off. This takes a little wiggling and manuevering because of the lock button and speaker wires.
Sounds like you are replacing the window regulator?

I don't know if the regulator is actually bad or not yet. My window is all the way down and won't come back up but I can hear the motor doing something, just not pushing the window back up. When I push the window switch, the motor definitely engages. Is there such a simple thing as the window just being off the track or something similar?
