When it dies, pop you hood and find what looks like a tire valve on a silver tube by your intake. The silver tube will be your fuel line and connects to your injectors. If fuel squirts out, it eliminates 50% of your problem...

You can''t do it on a D2.

What have you checked so far, do you have spark??

I have not had time to check much. I was lookong for fuel the filter. I do not have a book yet, but what I though was it is in frount of the tank on the frame rail right side. But I went to NAPA and the filter they showed did not look anything like what I was looking at. I was told today it may bet behine the letf frount wheel. I''ll look to night. Also told it may be crank sensor.

D2''s don''t have fuel filters.
Is the v/c gasket on the drivers side leaking, do you have a chack engine light on?
Sounds like a crank sensor.

Yes I do have a check engine light and I have chased it for weeks. I do know I need a new O2 sensor but which one is a wag. I just started it and it ran for about 15 min. then died, I checked and no spark to it plugs.

Normally this is referring to a Valve Cover gasket.

I knew it would be a dumb question when I got the answer. Thank you. I''m not getting many oil around them but I''ll check the back.
There is some oil on the lower part of the engine. And no spark when motor dies, when it cools it starts, also there is dirt and oil around the crank sensor I''m going to clean it as much as I can and see if that helps. Plus go but a code reader! I see I''ll need it wiht LR''s.

How long have you had this, when do you plan to go thru and real service and tune this truck, your truck, by mileage is past do for 4 02 sensors, although you haven''t caused this particular problem.
What are the exact fault codes that took you weeks to find?
Is there oil leaking from the drivers v/c gasket, UPS, already asked that and didn''t get a reply.
When you get around to checking and getting me the information I asked for, I''ll tell you what is most likely wrong with your truck.

Hi Mr. Mike
Sorry it took me a while to get back but I had an accident and I’m just know getting around again.
I have only owned my Disco for two months and have ordered all new O-2 sensors. I bought an ODB2 code reader. I first got a lot of codes. Misfire on each cylinder, gear 1, 2, 3 & 4 ratio incorrect, system too lean bank 1 and of cores O-2 bank 2 sensor 1. I also got a 1174, 1300 code but I have not found what they are yet. I then cleared the codes and ran it until it died and only got the O-2 code. When it died I checked an there is no spark at the plug wires. I have replaced the wires and plugs last month. Oh yea I did not find a v/c leak.
Thanks for any help you  can give me!!

So what exactly are the current codes?
Cajun01

The curent code is 150. The list of codes before I cleared them was, P174,P171,P150,P1174,P1300,P301,P301,P305,P731,P734,P102,P733 AND P734.
I start it up and it runs for about 15 to 20 minutes and then dies. I check the spark by puting spark checker on the wire and there is no spark. I keep trying every few min. and the checker shows a spark and it starts on the other 7 cyl. and run find for a few more min. then dies again.

From what I know a bad O2 sensor(s) will not cause engine to stall esp. after it run for 20 min.  Bad O2 sensor will cause CE light, but usually the on-board computer will be able to compensate for a bad O2 sensor

I found and removed the crank sensor. I found a small pice of mettle on the sensor probe, it was a little smaller then a bee bee. I  think this may have caused my problem! Could it?
