What kind of prices have many of you payed for extended warranties?  The warranty on my Disco II soon expires so I'm exploring options.  Positive / negative experiences w/ various warranty companies would be appreciated as well.  Thanks.

Plan on paying in the $3000 range, buy it thru a dealer and go from there. Mine cost $3100 and my 1st. repai bill was $3500, what can I say, I have 2 years or 20,000 miles left on my coverage.

3200.00 for LR extended on my 03.
3 years/85k miles beyond factory warranty which ends at the end of this month. My local independent shop is certified to work with the extended warranty and they told me they willl make it worth my money.

Thanks alot for the info everyone.  I feel like I got an awesome deal on my truck so the least and I can do is drop down a few bucks to make sure she stays running great.  The great lakes warranty company seems very good and i've heard good things, so I may end up purchasing through them.  Still waiting to hear back from the dealer about their options before I buy though.

Make sure you can get money back if you sell the vehicle(Pro-Rated).  Or the warranty is transferrable.  If you plan on keeping the vehicle till it breaks, then you shouldn't have to worry about it.  The guy who sold me his 02' Disco ended up eating $1000.00 because the warranty wasn't transferrable and he couldn't get his money back, ouch!
