Just signed the papers for my 07' LR3 HSE! After reading through all the helpful posts I thought I would buy an extended warranty at time of purchase b/c of the increase in price with the passage of time/miles. I was quoted $2,300 for an extended policy (w/$100 deductible) that took my coverage out to 6yrs/75k. The vehicle I bought has 8k miles on it and 39months left on the factory warranty. Does the extended quote seem reasonable? I thought I would check with the experts before I made any final decisions.
Thank you!

I'm assuming it was the Land Rover extended warranty and not a third party (which some dealerships offer); in which case yes it is. In fact that's quite a low amount. Mine was just at $4k for 7yrs/100k w/$100 deductible, but that was last January on an 06 with 30,000 miles. Here's a more specific write up:

A certified used car from the dealer comes with the extended warranty for 6/75 included in your purchase. That is why I desided to purchase my 06 HSE from the dealer vrs a private party. I got a great truck with 11,500 miles, an extended warranty all for less money than any private party LR3 I pursued. If you are at the dealer why are paying extra?
Loving my first Land Rover.

Get more information on what you are buying and who's extended warranty they are trying to sell you. If it is not factory, call Rover and find out if you wait till just before your factory warranty runs out, what will it cost you to buy theirs, which is by far a better warranty.
