how do the rrc's stack up against the disco I?

hi,

im looking into a new truck soon. used to have a disco I, and i loved the capability and the mechanicals, but it seemed to have a new electrical problem every week. im wondering how the range rover classics stand up against the old discos, as far as mechanicals and especially electricals.

ive heard that rrc's are a much better vehicle, but i want to find out from some people who know. ive also heard that the rrc is based on a very similar platform to the diamler-puch g wagens, but again want to find out for sure. im a devoted benz fan, in fact am a dealer tech for benz, but i cant justify spending the money on a g class right now.

im living in denver now, not minnesota like my post name says, and there are a lot of rrc's out here for decent prices, so id like a little more info before i start looking. what do i need to watch for, and what year ranges are the best?
