Hi,
A couple of days ago the drivers door on my P38 failed to open with the remote (all other doors worked fine).
Anyway carried on using my car by opening my door with key. Today I went to start up and nothing, checked the battery and charged it and within 5mins charger says fully charged. Is this an issue with the immobilizer, when I try and turn the engine over all I hear is a click coming from my left, Have I inadvertently immobilized the car by using both the fob and the key. If this is the case I do not have the code for my key, can I get this from anywhere?

Thanks
Jon

a mislock has happened. it says "engine immoblized" when you turn the key?
only a working remote will disarm with unlock button. is the remote working?
there are a few more options if you get back to me.

Hi Jon.
What message do get on the dash?Does the flashing red light in the middle of the dash by the windscreen go off?Is there a beeping noise when you turn the key to the start position?

My key fob works on all doors apart from the drivers door,This I open with the key.
When I use the fob to open the other doors or use the key on the drivers door the alarm is disabled
as normal. There is no indication on the dash that says the car is immobilized, it is only my thoughts that this is
what is happening. The battery is charged and fine and it seems odd that a couple of days ago all was fine then
the problem with the door arose and now the car won't start. It does sound like it is immobilized as it make no attempt to turn
over whatsoever.

ok, i can see how the mis-lock has happened, but its odd that "engine immobilized" is not
on the message screen. the body control module see the remote because it unlocks the
other doors. i'm stumped on this one...
