Hi, all

Im looking if anyone has any information about fitting 35" by 14.5" by 15" rims (specifically Interco Mud Boggers) and how many inches/milermetres of lift would be needed for them to fit properly

Errm... 35" ? That's 889mm... or in laymans terms "NEARLY A METRE!" You sure about those dimensions?

I know that you can fit 32" by 12.5" by 16" stock. But i don't think it will take a metre! Thanks for the info anyway.

Searched the web using google and "Interco Mud Boggers" - first in the results list was this:

http://www.intercotire.com/site28.php

Dunno if the link will show - had some 'difficulties' there so far.

However, they list a 35x14.50-15LT as needing a 15x10 rim. My stock 16" rims with OEM tyres have a rolling diameter of about 29" but there's a lot of clearance - i can measure exactly how much this weekend if it will help?

Cheers,

Actually, you can fit 35 inch tyres as standard to the defender, although you will experience plenty of rubbing on full lock, and a bit of trouble when you are off road and the springs are compressed. For sand work you won't have trouble, but for rock work, you will. If you fit a standard 2 inch suspension lift, and extend the suspension bump stops, they will fit fine.

Plenty of people fit 35 inch tyres here in Austrlia, although I stick to my 33s, as the 35 are technically illegal in my State. Mickey Thompson and Baja do great 35 inch tyres suitable for mud and rock work...
