"I was going to add that if yours is an 03, you could have big problems lurking."

I dont know if im going to be able to sleep! Luckily I bought an extended warranty if she does blow! I have a 2003 that has just started to develop some lifter noise/valve tap on the passenger side. The last time I changed the oil it was about a half court low over 3000miles but couldnt find a leak. What do you guys advise? I was going to do an ATF engine flush and have the oil pressure checked in the next couple of weeks. Should i have the pressure checked first then do the clean out? Should I be ordering up an oil pan gasket for this piggy just in case I need to drop the pan and clean out pickup tube? Truck has been always dealer serviced and developed the noise recently, no oil loss on this oil change yet, Im running 5w30 mobile 1. Disco Mike?

Don't do anything as far as a flush, call your dealer and get it in quickly, you may have one of the03 oil pumps failing.

Didn't mean to scare you, just make you aware that the 03's have lost a lot of oil pumps, and it can be corrected if you get it in to the shop soon.

No sometimes its ok to be scared, thanks for the response guys! I hadnt read that about the 2003! The truck has always been dealer serviced with its last check-up about 4,000 miles ago. It is going in next week for my valve noise and leaky rear sunroof again.
