lighting

I'm thinking about putting some lights on the roof of my 1993 SWB.  I already have a THULE roof rack and am going to put a basket rack on top THULE as well (since I already have the mounts).  My question is, can I mount lights to this rack or do I need another bar?  If you have a set up that works good for you please let me know what you have so I can see if it is what I am looking for.
