Every car has its common issues. I really know nothing about Land Rovers at this point. I am looking to buy something 94-99...I found a good deal on a 99. I am concerned about the air suspension and self leveling. Is that something that is prone to problems? What years have what problems? So far I found that a lot of the rovers in the north east here rust in the door jambs by the latch. Any info would be much appreciated.

For the rust, if you live in the snow country, was the salt off them 2 times a month and you won't get any. I live in Colorado and have no rust.
What are you planning on using this truck for, any 4 wheel experience, are you at all mechanical and what price range are you looking at?

Thanks for the response...I need a truck for a second vehicle, mostly to be able to tow cars with a tow dolly and to use in the winter time. I own a VW and Audi shop so yes I am mechanically inclined. I am on a budget, want to spend up to $2500ish. So if I can find something that needs a fender or a head gasket or something that would be fine. There are plenty of good deals I have found but everything is just a little to crusty for me. I am in NH so everything I have looked at seems to be like that. I am willing to drive or fly down to VA or Maryland to pick something up.

At that price range I would suggest a 96 or 97 Disco 1, you will like the truck and it will be easy to work on.
