Have you had the oil changed recently? Mine started a slow drip not long after I had it into Jiffy Lube. I'm thinking I'll take it to the dealer for it's next run and make sure I get OEM parts. I can't afford for this thing break!

do you have a disco 1 or 2? the disco 1's are prone to leak at the rear main cross seals, and also the pan. Changing the cross seals does not require dropping the tranny, but the rear main crank seal does. Thankfully, those seem to hold up very well.

next time think of doing it yourself. That way you know it will be right. You will need a big wrech for the drain plug. Check to see if your vehicle needs a ring gasket of some kind to help. prefill your oil filter, this help prevent dry starts with the vehicle. Clean the engine, top and bottom by hand. after the change see if the problem is fixed. If not see if you can track the leak. It will help if you put something underneath to catch the oil, not only to locate the leak, but to keep the area clean. If you change the oil yourself make sure you have something to catch it in, and shop towels. The oil comes out fast and there is alot of it. Hope it helps, duboff
