hi,
im thinking of getting rid of my problem child disco I in favor of either a 1990 or 1992 range rover classic. just want to know what to look for on test drives and what kind of things to watch out for on these trucks.
from everything i have heard in the past the classics are way better than the discoI and II. they certainly seem to command a better resale value, anyhow. actually, thats what i wanted to get when i bought my disco, and im regretting that i didnt hold out longer to find one.
thanks,
Alex

They are a good truck, in stock form, some model years might out perform a D1 off the road mainly because of the difference in weigh and wheel base length, otherwise they were pretty much equals.
The Blue Book price on all Rovers have taken a pretty hard hit over the last 2 years, so either truck can be had pretty inexpensivily.
They are great trucks, good luck,
Mike

Alex,
Check out the tips I have on the tech pages at
www.eurotekapg.com I own a Black 1991 Classic and wouldn't part with it for a newer model. Okay.....maybe for a supercharged sport :-0
Anyway....some Classics have been run into the ground (and can be had for $1000), while a good find would be a vehicle with a enthusist for a owner that tried their best to keep it in good shape despite the years and miles. These tend to go for about $4000 here in Northern California.
Best of luck,
Geoman
