need help transmission switch

hello i have a p38 96 range rover 4.0 on the shifter console it have the sport switch and it used to go on sport switch and u can see it light up on the dash messahe , now she wont light up on the dash message but the shifter console switch comes on like the light is onn do u know what is the problem , please help what to look for .........the switch light up and no message sport on the dash and it doesnt go on sport mode please help thanks hani what to look for ...........

I have a similar problem - My sport mode switch is flashing continuously. I was told that it was the transfer case ecu or transmission ecu - I managed to get both of them from a aprts car -but have not fitted them yet. Please keep in touch in, I will be fitting them next week.
