ok this might be dum but I went to the parts store to get stuff to do a oil change and they looked up my rover and told me the book said to use
racing oil 50-W is this right
It is a 1996 rover with the 4.0 thanks --- ps I put the oil
in

Mike, what arear do you live in, how cold does it get?

10/30W in the winter and 20/40W in the warmer months. If you want a brand by Castol and use either a K&N 3001 oil filter or a Mobil 1 oil filter for better quailty.
