New to the forum, looks like a knowledgable group.  Bought a used '04 Disco II - awesome truck, great condition and very solid.  I can see how people get hooked on these things.  Anyway, I'm all about preventative maintenance, as I like to off-road and getting stranded is a bummer.  One item I'm not sure has been dealt w/ on my truck is the throttle body.  Seems like any easy fix, but how do I know if the gaskets and repair kit have already been installed?  Not leaking now, but sounds like it will if it hasn't been dealt w/ already.   Any distinctive markings to tell the difference between original factory and upgraded throttle body kits?

The updated kit came out about 1.5 years ago so you most likely don't have it. How many miles are on your truck, is it still in warranty?

45K, still under warranty but not long to go.  Debating the extended warranty - another issue altogether.  Think it's worthwhile to just replace it or is this a lesser issue than I'm making it out to be?  For what it's worth, the dealer here has been really good so far.  Had the famous ABS, TC light situation and they replaced ABS module and shuttle valves w/out hesitation.  No problem since.
