My 97 Disco I exhaust broke at the muffler/Y-pipe flange. I don't want to spend $700 for a Borla etc. Anybody have any suggestions for a reasonable cost system (other than Atlantic-British)? I'm sure with all the creative people in this forum that someone has put together something cool at a reasonable cost. Mind sharing?
Thanks,
Marv

go to a muffler shop. they can make you a new exhaust system with a larger diameter pipe and better flowing muffler for <$200.

I second the above recommendation. Mufflers and exhaust pipes do not have to be ultra-expensive to work well. For that matter, neither do catalytic converters.

In my opinion, just go to a reputable popular muffler shop and let them handle it...much cheaper than trying to buy premium parts mailorder and have them installed. I had a bad (burned out inside) main muffler on my 94 Disco I. Went to local muffler shop, and got a fine quality replacement, installed for $72.00. They also checked my catalytic converters (they were fine) for free.
