Turning into my neighborhood my Land Rover 2001 Disco II just died. Starter cranks. Pushed it into the driveway and started trying to diagnose. Checked the obvious fuses. Decided to replace the crankshaft position sensor. Still does not start. I do not have any spark at the spark plugs. Anyone have an idea what would cause this problem or where else to look?

Cam sensor.
The GEMS engine doesnt have one but I think that your BOSCH engine does.

Actually it may be the crank sensor, that is what can cause it to either stall, be hard to start or die while driving.

both have cam sensors, they leak real bad on gems engines, your crank sensor is what controls your spark, but if ya just replaced it im not convinced. whats you alarm indicator in your instrument pack doing? wouldnt explain the stall though. cam sensor controls fuel injection, so dont go that route if your problem is a lack of spark, so in the end, im saying crank sensor... was the connector nice and wet with oil when you changed it out?
