Anyone ever fool with replacing one of these:
http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/STC4625.cfm My passenger side mirror got bumped and it shook the mirror loose. I pulled the mirror out and found silicone was holding the mirror in place. The PO apparently broke the mounting bracket and decided to "fix" it with silicone.
My question is, how do you take this bracket off and is there anything to remember when installing the new one?
Bonus question:
The back of the actual mirror that came out has two electrical terminals on it. BUT, there was no connection in the mirror housing. What gives? Was this to heat the mirrors?

When my side mirror got damaged, I had to replace then entire arm. I got a great price from a place online where you can get salvaged parts for Landrovers.
