Hi all! New poster here....excuse me if I post this in the wrong section.
I have been looking for a new car for awhile now. I am currently driving a '95 4runner that needs to be put to sleep :(
Recently, I test drove an 08 LR2 and a 07 Range Rover Sport. Both were nice but I really fell in love with the Sport. However, it is sort of out my budget.
I have been looking everywhere for deals but could not find any. But I did stumble upon this site
http://www.land-rover-deals.com/ and saw that their 2007 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 S is priced at 33k (which is roughly 44k in US dollars). I am very interested in possibly purchasing this car but have many reservations about it as I know nothing about this site.
Which brings me to this forum, as I figure, if it is reputable, some of you fine, loyal range rover fans could shed some light on this.
Does anyone have any experience with this company? And does it pose a problem that I am based in the US?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry, but it's too good to be true. You can't import this truck to the US. This is a diesel (that's what the "TD" means, it is the V6 Turbo Diesel) and not certified in the US. Besides that, you can't import a vehicle to the States that's YOUNGER than 25 years old

. Believe me, a lot of us Rover fanatics have dreamed of importing a cheap truck from the UK, only to have our bubble burst by someone like me who has the unfortunate duty to answer your question. Also, the current exchange rate is over 2 US dollars per Pound so that would make your truck $66K

. Don't give up hope though, because with gasoline prices the way they are, it would seem that at some point Ford will realize that not every American insists on 500 horsepower V8 SUVs and begin importing some of these diesel Landys!!! I'd love to get 32mpg from a brand new Range Rover!
Cheers, and good luck finding the Rover of your dreams!

Thanks for responding Greg, I was starting to wonder how 30+ people could view it and not reply to it with any kind of feedback. But maybe the reason was that none of them wanted to break the news to me :(
That's really too bad as I would have loved to drive this vehicle in the States, V6 suits me just fine as V8 is just overkill for me anyways.
Anyhow, thanks for the heads-up!
Cheers.
