i have disco 1 97'''' 235/85/16 bfg mt and except for having to replace almost everything under the hood except the engine its pretty much stock i would like to get at least a 2 inch lift post your opinions thanks warren

ive heard procomps and big blue had a shotty rep
and what is the essential componets recommended to get along with a lift

If the brake lines haven''t been done I would get new ones as well.
If you stick with 2 inches that''s about all I would worry about.
If you go to 3" then I would add along list to that.
I have 3" OME and blistein I have been vary happy with the set up. I''ve been doing quite a bit of upgrading along the way with axles drop towers in the front drop mounts in the rear new trailing arms etc....

ranchos are no good
pro comps are no good
ome ltrs are a waste of money because theyre not long enough
non ltr ome shocks and yellow bilsteins are good if you stay under 3"
koni shocks are good but expensive
bilstein 7100s and fox 2.0 shocks are nice but expensive
i like rovertym springs over ome springs. dont really know why.
if you lift under 3", all youll need are the springs and shocks. extended brake lines depending on shock choice. if you go over 3" youll need lots more. go to
http://www.rovertym.com/ and see what theyve got and give them a call and see what he recommends.
im currently running rovertym 3" springs w/ 1" spacer, bilstein 7100 shocks, and spring retainers in the rear and im very happy with it.

Arsell said it, follow his suggestions and as he has mentioned, there is more to a 3" the lifting it, depending on if you have a D1 or D2.

can a moderater make a stickie for landrover disco suspension lift so people wont have to keep posting "what''s the best suspension lift" "or whats the best shocks" in the long run it would best for the forum

Are you talking about a D1, if so yes, either that or a full OME set of coils and HD shocks.
