Hi there,
1st time poster
I've got a 00 Disco that has issues with the sound going from full to tinny. The volume will go way down, then blast when I restart the car. The overall sound is horrible. Has anyone had this issue?
I'm trying to determine if it's the head unit in the dash, or the amplifier under the seat. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

it sounds like the volume control is going bad.

Sounds like the amp to me. Do you have the rear subwoofer? Is it going off and on?
