I bought my first Discovery last weekend. It is 2004 and I love it so fur. I wondering If the surfers among this forum can tell me how they set the surfboard on the roof? Do I need to add Cross Boards? If you have a photo of your surfboard on the Discovery, Please post it. I take frequent trips to Sun Diego and looking forward for some answers. Thanks

Hey man,
I use my 2004 Disco II for surfing. What I ended up doing was buying some rail grabbers, and putting the WRV you know the black patted foam tubes over the rack. Anyways this is cool site, the guy's got some good stuff.

The 2004 Disco II has different sized pipes built into the roof. So if you buy from here, make sure you get the ones for the 2004. If you want some pics of what mine looks like I can post one.
They also have on the same page, scroll down a bit racks made specifically for surfboards/windboards. I wanted to get something I could throw our canoe on, so that's why I got the roof-rack grabbers. By the way where you from?
