What screws for curly dash repair strips??

I got a set of the strips for repairing the curly dash covering on my Disco I. The strips from Atlantic/British did not come with any screws. I am assuming I need self-tapping sheet metal screws?

Yes,  I used 3/4" ones.
And to start some holes that I could not get started I heated a wire smaller than the screws and melted a starter hole.
I got the black ones so I painted the top of the screws black.
