I have an 1986 110 defender x-military and want to know what oil goes in the gear box & transfer box?
I've been told its ATF in the gear box & EP90 in the transfer box, is this correct?

Yes that is correct, and the ep90 also goes in the axles and swivel houses (though those may have been filled with grease)
