Just found the forum. Gonna check it out a bit. Anyway, a little about myself.
My wife and I own a Freelander SE. Love it for the most part. We bought it the first year they were out and it seems as though they've improved the interior a bit. That's one of my biggest complaints. My only other complaint is it's just too small. I wanted to get the Disco but my wife didn't want it because it was, "too big." Now she's wishing we'd gotten it. Other than that, the thing's been awesome. I can't get it stuck in the snow we've had over the last couple of years (I've tried). It drives well (except it's a touch sluggish but I hop in my Saab when I want to go fast. :). We've had no major problems (knocking on wood).
Anyway, we're planning on getting something else later this year. I'm thinking of staying with a LR since I am on the ski patrol in upstate NY and need something which can get through the worst of conditions. So I'm thinking of picking up a used Disco or trying to step up to a Range Rover. Not sure I can scrape the case together for the Range Rover unless I go to a fairly older model. Anyone have any comments on this?
We have one child right now and are thinking of another so that's why I've thought about stepping up to the RR. We could use the extra space.
Any thoughts on best model years in the last few years (Disco and RR)?
