Alright, I'm trying to purchase my first Rover. Looking for a Discovery, but my girlfriend (soon to be Fiance, keep quiet if you know her) doesn't think it will be agood idea. Her rational is that once I start law school and any warranty is out that we wouldn't be able to afford any needed repairs. What back up and word of wisdom do you have for me? My argument is that the same can be said of any vehicle. Rovers are also made to last forever with proper maintenance. So let me know what ya'll think. And if you know someone on this forum that could also help support my argument, please forward this to them.

Thanks

What year Disco are you looking for and what are your plans for it?
If you could afford to buy a Disco and an extended warranty, I would say you should be OK, no warranty and I would probably agree with your girl friend.
