ORIGINAL: mikemeyer0 I ment don't run your diesel on corn oil or any other cooking oil for that matter. Yea it works but not good and makes a big mess and it even is not good on your engine. I school we tested this to see the effects and if it would work as an altertanitive fuel, well yea it work but not worth it, we ended up building an electric car for our project. I am curious, as here in the UK people are running on veggie diesel (made from oil seed rape) quite successfully without any mess. The only major problem is if you use cooking oil, you need to heat it before using it, as cold oil will bung up the pump, filters etc. But processed oil seed rape oil, works very well and actually burns better than mineral oil... I will try and find some links of sites that give more info on this subject for you to have a look at.. yea that would work but we were trying to come up with a way to just buy it in the store or get it somewhat cheaper than diesel. never tried the seed rape.

ORIGINAL: Lighting90 As hamrover said our gas prices are far more expensive, it will not be long before we will be paying £1 per litre.. we are already at the 82p to 84p per litre now, and still going up. They are saying we will hit 90p per litre by the summer of this year. 3.785litres = 1 gallon £3.18 per Gallon 1.84 dollars to the £ current price for me is $5.85 going up to $6.25 maybe by the summer time, if they are right about the 90p per litre... Time to start working from home soon.... I have a scooter for sale
