As hamrover said our gas prices are far more expensive, it will not be long before we will be paying £1 per litre.. we are already at the 82p to 84p per litre now, and still going up. They are saying we will hit 90p per litre by the summer of this year.

3.785litres = 1 gallon

£3.18 per Gallon

1.84 dollars to the £

current price for me is $5.85 going up to $6.25 maybe by the summer time, if they are right about the 90p per litre...

Time to start working from home soon....

I should say, for any Brits reading the above, it based on the US gallon, as the British one is slightly bigger...

Anyway the price has gone up again so here we go...
Minimum I pay is 91p while average is 95p per litre

So currently we are at
£3.44 per Gallon (US) [£4.14 per Imperial Gallon] to £3.60 per Gallon (US) [£4.32 per Imperial Gallon]

1.6913 dollars to the £

Therefore we are paying approx...
$5.82 per Gallon (US) [$7.00 per Imperial Gallon] to $6.09 per Gallon (US) [$7.31 per Imperial Gallon]

How much are you lot paying in the USA again.... the moral is, think yourselves lucky....

What I'am interested in is just how many miles per year is
average for the U.K. ?
I know that here in the U.S. it is around 15k to 18k per year
in the southwest.
I put 25k miles on my car and 14k on my Disco per year average.
So a diesel Disco would have been great.

$2.69 for 92 in Big Bend Nat Park Tx 2/21/06
$2.21 for 91 in Abilene Tx 2/22/06
$2.31 for 93 in Dallas Tx 2/23/06
$2.47 for diesel in Dallas Tx 2/23/06

The 93 is up to $2.69 today in Dallas Tx. 3/16/06
I would pay $5.85 U.S. if all I drove was 5000 miles
a year like people in the U.K..
But I'm still not sure how far you drive in the U.K.
All I can base my estimation on is Land Rover Monthly
(LRM) so help us over here on the other side of the
pond and let us know.
Thanks Mike.
