Hello all,

This only happenes when the engine is cold; especially in the morning. If I don't give enough time to warm up the car (say about 5 mintues), the service engine soon lights will on. However, if the engine is warm, then nothing happenes.

Do you guys have the same problem or do you have any idea? Thanks for the help.

As Disco Mike would say ---we need model, year, mileage, and service history info from you before we can comment on the possibilities.

Check out my site at---- www.eurotekapg.com---- for technical pointers and things to watch out for on your Land Rover.

regards,

Geoman

I had this exact same problem last winter; freelander 2002 S, 1.8 75K. I took it in to LR Dealer 3 times over the winter (with normal service) and they said there's nothing wrong. They would reset the engine light switch. I lived with it, it got warmer problem gone. No problem with it all summer, got colder and started again yesterday. I own a Disco 2003 & this freelander, bought them both new from the same dealer, filed a complaint USA Corp LR and nothing happened..Would love to know the fix for this..Help!

I haven't had any experience with this problem, Sorry.
I would suggest though that you find a friend with a code scanner to plug into your car when you start it one morning and see what code shows up.
Let us know what happens.
Mike
