so has anyone ever wanted virtual Landrovers? I have, but to this day, I have never seen a game that had well modeled Landrovers in it, that wasnt some garbage arcade-like game. well, those days are over . Has anyone ever heard of the game 1nsane? It's an old offroading game (dates back to 2000) that to this day, is the most realistic and accurate 4x4 game I've played (yep you heard that right, a 6 year old game, still the most realistic) except for screamer4x4, but that isn't user modify-able like 1nsane is. I have tried them all, 4x4evo1 & 2, Cabela's Offroad Adventure 1,2 & 3, Test Drive offroad etc... and none of which were any good, but....1nsane is. 1nsane's Physics models which are used by the vehicles uses actual geometry and weight loads placed throughout the physics model to simulate a poor COG with a soft, flexy suspension and alot of body roll or a low COG with stiff suspension for fast cornering (hence 1nsane can be adapted to ANY type of vehicle) it also uses spring links with adjustable bumpstops and force. best part is, you can download the game 1nsane for FREE! from Codemasters. but enough jibber about the game, onto the Landrovers! I have been working on a pack of vehicles for the game since August (containing Toyotas, Unimogs, Jeeps and yes LANDROVERS!). I currently have built, a Series3 and a Defender90 and awaiting construction, is a Classic Rangerover and Discovery (not soon though) anyways, time for the pics: - oh and the snorkels actually work to, as well as lockers, but unfortuneately, no working winches http://1nsane.rogue4x4.com/smf/index.php?topic=1772.60 http://1nsane.rogue4x4.com/smf/index.php?topic=1889.0 you can scroll through the pages and look at everything, I would have posted just the images, but the tags didn't work. anyways, very sorry about the long post, but I figured since this is a Landrover forum, some of you may be interested and I couldn't leave the pictures without an explanation as to where they came from
