British Around the World Land Rover Expedition

Hi,

Before starting my business in Transylvania 2008, I am going to go on one very big expedition by Land Rover. This will encompass most of the globe east to west, and will take approximately 18 months to complete. As fuel and other costs are pretty expensive, I thought it would be a nice idea to share this expedition with several people. I have come up with the idea of 'pay for your passage' This is not a commercial trip, more share the costs, and see a section of the route in a part of the world of your choice. Join me for minimum one week, or for as long as you like.

I will post the legs of the expedition and you simply let me know which one you would like to join me on. You fly out and meet me there, and so the journey continues. Bring your own sleeping bag and personal kit. I will provide you with a tent and use of all other camping equipment. We will share camping chores and driving.

Don't worry, it will not all be driving and on the road! There will be time to relax and see many things.

As this is not a paid for holiday through my company then you will need to arrange your own travel insurance and flights.

Let me know if you would be interested. You can either send me a private message on this site, or via my web site e-mail address. I will then send you a table with route and dates, what is available and what is already reserved. Your payment will go into the expedition pot, and will pay for transport and use of my equipment. Food and drinks will be extra, which can be shared on a daily basis with me.

For your peace of mind, you can reserve your place with a 10% deposit using paypal. The rest can be paid when you meet me. Your contribution will be £200 for a week on the expedition. I can take a maximum of three extra people. If you are travelling together costs will be less.

The route is as follows.

France-Germany-Eastern Europe-Turkey-Iran-Pakistan-India-Nepal-China-Laos-Cambodia-Thailand-Malaysia-Indonesia-Australia-New Zealand-USA-Mexico-Guatemala-Honduras-
El Salvador-Nicaragua-Costa Rica-Panama-Ghana-Burkina Faso-Mali-Mauritania-Morocco-Spain-France
Best Wishes,

Paul.

Come on guys, this will be a trip of a life time! Only one person has shown any interest from this site. You can choose your country, and the length of time you join me. For £200 toward costs a week is a real bargain. You even get the chance to drive a great rig! Any questions ask away. I can't afford this trip on my own, so your support would be appreciated.
Cheers, Paul.

This trip is obviously ticking few boxes. I'm not sure if I have got the angle right.

I have deliberately not asked for money up front as this is not a commercial holiday. It will have to be based on trust, and that is why I have asked for payment to be made when we meet. £200 is a small amount of money per week and all of it will be spent on fuel costs. My Land Rover averages 28mpg on a good run.

When you fly out I will pick you up from a pre-arranged airport. Likewise if it makes life easier I can drop you off at another airport on route for your return journey.

Wish I could, but I can't...sorry. Sounds like an awesome trip, too.
