Dear Land Rover lovers, Be very carefull if you consider doing bussiness with Tidewater Rover / John Miller. He has ripped quite a few people. See i.e. http://www.discoweb.org I personally bought two Airco Woodtrim's from him and after paying him $225 for these including shipment on the 4th of dec 06 I'm still waiting form him to deliver. First he sends two plain plastic trim ones. I had to pay the returnshipment for these parts, so that was another $30. In january 07 he finaly send one of the trim's. Now I'm still waiting for the other one and the promised refund of the returnshipment. Paypal isn't a help because they will only help you when a claim has been filed within 45 days (on day 40 or so he mails: we are in the proces of shipping the items to you but afcourse he didn't). Since then he ignores my emails, hangs up the phone when called, ignores even a started dispute on ebay. His full contact info is: John Miller TIDEWATER ROVER 201 Beval Rd. I second that. Gave him a deposit for $7,000 for a vehicle, he did not get it ready on time, never called me for updates, I cancelled the transaction and it has been two years since that refuses to give me the deposite back. For a year he claimed sudden serious financial problems (this from a self proclaimed millionaire with a Land Rover hobby) and later he claimed that he put the money on the truck and I had to purchase it. He never calls, avoids your calls, pretends he cannot hear you on the phone and hangs up. We are going to court. Be careful because he will scam you... Stay away from him. John Miller is a con artist in the Land Rover Industry. A.

I agree with what everybody had said about John Miller. I finally got my issues resolved with him after almost a year and a half he still owes me money but I am going to cut my losses. I bought a truck from him and paid him in full ( $8500.00). He aggreed to ship the truck to me, but after almost two months no truck. It was always some excuse. I decided to fly out there and drive it back. When I bought the truck I was told it could easily do Highway speeds. Well when I got there I drove it and it could barley do 50mph withouth sounding like it was going to explode. I was not going to dive this thing 2000 miles and demanded my money back because it was misrepresented. He said he didn't have the money so we drew up a contract for him to pay me back by December and this was in September. Well of course December comes and goes and nothing. He would never return my calls or emails. After threatening to sue I worked a deal out with David and I was sent a thousand bucks with promises to be paid in full within 2 months. Well you can guess what happend NOTHING. I once again went to NC but this time I drove with intentions of towing it back. I showed up with the Sheriff because I knew he would not release the truck to me. The truck was not on the property and he refused to show me the truck. The Sheriff couldn't do anything because he said it was a civil manner even though I had the title and he was technically stealing the truck. John said he wanted to look at the paperwork, what ever that means, and wanted me to come back in the morning to work something out. Well knowing I would get more excuses and no truck I talked to his neighbors to see if they had seen the truck. His neighbors told me that before I showed up they put the truck into a shipping container. I waited for everybody to leave and planned on taking the truck back with me because it was my truck. I opend the container and the truck was stripped and had a differnt motor in it then when I bought. I planned on returing in the morning with the sheriff and have him arrested for theft. Then I talked to David on the phone and he said he would have my money for me in the morning. Happy about that I said that is good because if he didn't John would be arrested. David and I drew up a bill of sale and had it notorized and we both went to the post office and overnighted the check to the bank. Thinking the mess was over although I didn't get all of my money the truck was paid off. Well not exactly the check bounced. After more threats of suing him he just sent a cashiers check and it is paid off. This man is such a criminal and needs to be in prison. I am willing to give any testomony for anybody if they plan on suing him. I was just amazed at how much of a blatent crook he is. I am a federal agent and if he is this brazen with a law enforcement officer I can imagine what he is like with everbody else. I didn't think I would have this many problems getting my money back. He knew I was a Border Patrol Agent and both times I went there he had illegal aliens working for him. I still can't believe this guy is still in business I will help anybody who wants to go after him. I hope this son of a bitch rots in hell or better yet a small prison cell with Bubba. One way or another karma will get him back. Jason Huberd greenguy@vtc.net

Has any one ever gone after Tidewater Rovers. Anyway to get this guy legally? He is a terrible, lying businessman and something needs to be done about him.
