Air Suspension Control Unit

My RR classic 90 When I start the engine it take about one minute and then stop same as if fuel pump stoped, but if I pull out the flow meter wire plug engine will run, but it keep much smoke and smell of fuel even I return the flow meter plug back engine is running,
I doted the ECU (Air Suspension Control Unit) under the passenger seat side is the problem.
Any one could advice me what is the problem, is it the ECU or some thing else?
