Hey All!  Just bought a 2001 Discovery and so far I love it!  Took it out in the deep snow and it kicked butt!  Used to drive an Infiniti--rear wheel drive--what a difference!

But....I need a little help with my CD player.  Under the passenger seat, there are spots for 4 regular fuses and one large square one.  The large one is there, then a blank space,  then a 40 amp, 3 amp, 3 amp.  Can anyone tell me what's missing?

Also, and perhaps more concerning, I can't get the magazine to eject.  I haven't played with it much, 'cuz I have to park outside (ugh) and we have 14" of snow on the ground.  Everything is melting, finally and I can't wait to listen to my CD's again.

Thanks for your help!!!

Jen

Same issue here with a 2000 Disco. I took the changer out and freed the disc(s) that were stuck. Now the changer tries to load the first empty tray and moves to the second tray but becomes stuck on it. It cannot push the tray back into the magazine and move on. Ideas? I don't see anything obviously wrong, is there something common wrong within the changer?

What Alpine changer is this and any ideas on replacement cost.

While we're on the subject what do people use as new head-ends in these trucks? What fits?

Thanks,

I had problems with my 02 Disco's changer, too, but I just fiddled with it for the first few days after I bought it and I have had no problems since.

Jen,
Please don't post messages in PINK, they are hard to read and more of a distraction.
Are you getting a CD fault warning on your radio?
You will probably need to go by a auto radio repair center and have them check for faults and see if they can reset/repair it.

First off are you SURE there is a magazine in it ???
I've seen many without magazines ( available on Ebay for like $20)

I had the same problem for my 2000 disco. i took the panels off and took a look inside (hah like i knew what i was doing but anyways) i retryed the eject button and it started to work. So far i have done the same thing 3-4 times and has worked every time. This could be good luck though... may be something you want to try, it only takes 15 minutes.
