I decided to change the clutch slave cylinder, within half an hour the slave unit was off and ready for the replacement to be fitted. As I tried to pull the rubber push rod seal from the rod the rod itself came detatched from the cluth arm. There is a small plastic clip that slideds on the rod that has 2 prongs which locate round the clutch that prevent the ball on the rod from dislodging out of the socket on the clutch arm. I can't seem to be able to attach it back on - Is there a way of doing this easily or have I caused a recovery to the garage ?

Any help appreciated.
