Hi im considering a freelander diesel but cant stop pondering about the negative feedback people keep giving me that it will spend more time in the garage than on the drive. As these opinionated people dont even own one id thought id try and get it from the horses mouth. Please can anyone reassure me that there as good as they look????

Hi ! The latest Freelanders are as good as they look, but keep one thing in mind: drive sensibly and keep up with the maintenance schedule. Some Freelander owners have broken their cars driving them as if they were a 1965 Series 2, under the motto "it's a Land-Rover, it will take ANY punishment". The Freelander, unmodified, is meant for a more let's say..."civilized" style of driving. This said, Freelanders will still outperform any comparable Kawazuki or Itchypuzy off-road and at least they look good. Regards, Takeo. http://www.landroverclub.net
