Hey guys, I browsed this site when i first bought my 2000 4.6. I've had the truck for almost 9 months now and i love it but i've managed to tag on 15000 miles. The truck now has 109000. Still runs great but i'm looking at my options for a newer truck. I've been looking at discoverys for the past month and realized that they're fairly cheap. What i really want is a newer range but not ready to dump the 35-40 on one as i don't do financing. My question is what differences should i notice between the two trucks. 90% of the miles are highway driving but i love the feeling that i'm prepared for almost anything with the range yet can cruise up to boston from ny completely comfortable. The same would be for the discovery... so i hope. What differences in ride, comfort, performance and options am i going to notice? I can pick up a fully loaded 2003 discovery with around 60k miles in the $15000 ball park. Hopefully get around $10000 for mine and only have to come out of pocket 5000 for a gorgeous looking truck in my opinion. All your opinions are welcome and please knock me in line if i'm going the wrong route. I just like change, especially with cars. Oh yeah are hids a factory option on the discovery for that year? That's the only thing i had to add to my 4.6 as i have terrible night vision. Thanks in advance guys. Dave

Dave, if you take this post and move it to the technical forum, you will get a lot faster advice. There's a lot of rover gooroos in the forum more than willing to share their knowledge.
