I have a 1996 Disco series one and I want to replace the stock stereo head unit with a Sony AM/FM CD player.  How much of a job is this and where is the factory amp?  Does it need to be bypassed or should I run new wires to each speaker?  Will the subs work; I found a small amp mounted to the subs but still have not found the amp (if there is one) for the front and rear speakers.  I have six speakers plus two subs.

Thanks for the help.

We found the amp behind the glove box. Now to figure out the wiring.
