Hi  Everyone, I just bougth a Range Rover 1998 a few days ago. I was so happy with...AND THEN, I REALIZE IT HAS A COOLANT LEAK. Well, I used to have a Land Rover Series, so a leak is very usual with thoose beautiful cars. But  as I can see, it is not the same with this Range Rover. Well, I felt so devastating with this LEAK, that  when I went to check the LEAK guess what...It is LEAK by the HEAD GASKET ahhhhh!!!!!! I just dont know what to do now.. (any sugestion are welcome)!!!!  after three day or research I found that kind of LEAK is very comun on this RR and I think it has solution but the main question is !! HOW BAD IS IT . may I run the car with this leak or not. and the most important how can I fix it.
This RR is very sweet I bougth it for a lot of thing : not to may milles, one owner since 1998, and looks very very good.
I´m realy dont feel well after bougth it that because this ·$·%·· LEAK.

help.
THANKS

Hi there,
Is the leak external, if so is it in the valley between the cylinder heads around the inlet manifold.
Or-is it internal and getting into the sump and mixing with the oil. Worse still, is it getting into one or more of the cylinders and blowing out the exhaust like a steam train?
What engine does your Rangie have?

OK!! I have news for you all. I got my car from the shop this afternoon and it is working good. At the shop they test the car at least two days before they called me. it has no signs of leaking and overheating ´till now but I will be more relax after this week. they performed a leak treatment with Car-Go Seal Up!!!!! Will see... and if something goes wrong I will tell you. I have to tell you the leak was little it was not big. So I will write next week to confirm a sucsesfull stop leak!!! I HOPE!!!!
Thanks Disco-Mike
